For a world healing from
sexual abuse
Learn about Sexual Abuse Injury Framework (SAIF), developed by WONSA. The framework was built together with survivors, clinicians and researchers. Now we share it with the world. Join us. Together we push the boundaries for healing.
Built by survivors, clinicans and researchers
Sexual violence occurs everywhere in society — in homes, at workplaces, among children and adults, in close relationships, and in organized or ritual settings. It is a reality many still refuse to see. But for those of us who have been subjected to sexual abuse, or who listen to these experiences, there is no other choice but to face the truth — and change the world. We have accepted that this change cannot happen within existing paradigms. That is why WONSA exists, to gather, develop and share knowledge for a new way forward.
More than 10 years of experience and research
At WONSA, we have developed a new framework for treating sexual trauma. It is based on over ten years of clinical experience, research, and countless testimonies from survivors. Our unique tools within the framework adress the root cause, define levels of injuries and goes beyond symtoms. The framework fills critical gaps in knowledge minimizing sucicidality, wrong treatments, or no care at all.
Too many survivors are denied successful treatment, due to the lack of knowledge. That's why our framework exists.
80% of our patients have experienced unsuccessful treatments, and many have been labelled treatment resistent before coming to WONSA. Patients report they have felt blamed, shamed and stigmatized for the unsuccess of the treatment offered.
We have seen this pattern before in healthcare, as with cancer, tubercolosis, leprosy and epilepsy. Today treatment is available and the stigma is gone. This will be true in the field of sexual trauma too.
Whether you are a psychiatrist, researcher, therapist, relative — or someone who has experienced abuse yourself — you are warmly welcome to join the mission to reform healthcare for sexual abuse survivors.
For professionals
Welcome to a new path in healthcare & psychiatry – grounded in understanding injury, not just symptoms.
This platform gives you, as a professional, the opportunity to deepen your knowledge about sexual abuse and its consequences — neurobiological, psychological, relational, and existential. You will learn to work from healing principles, with structured tools for assessing both the depth and breadth of psychological injury, including mapping and monitoring dissociation.
You’ll become part of a global network of therapists, doctors, psychologists, and other professionals working together for a reformed psychiatry — one that sees the whole person, and understands that symptoms are expressions of injury.
Together, we can change how sexual abuse injuries are understood and treated— turning knowledge into clinical practice.

Empowerment for survivors
If you have been subjected to sexual abuse, you may carry symptoms, diagnoses or difficulties that no one has fully explained to you. Through this platform, you can assess your Sexual Abuse Injury level (SAI level) - a structured way to understand the extent of your injury - and receive a SAI level estimate summary. You can find therapists, doctors, psychologists and support networks who are trained and certified to work with your estimated SAI level.
You are not just on your way to healing — you are part of a system transformation. Every time a person receives support, heals, and is empowered, it becomes harder for perpetrators to hide — and easier for others to get help. By healing yourself you are helping to heal the world. Your healing matters. And when more survivors are seen, supported, and able to heal, society heals too.
